How to have the Success of Affiliate Marketing Gurus

Monday 15 March 2010 @ 9:47 am

Original post by Alan View from  Moneymakerinfo

If you enjoy making money online by promoting products or services, then the chances of you being in affiliate marketing are fairly high. You might have signed up as an affiliate with one or more online businesses, who then give you a specific affiliate ID. Many of the online businesses that are involved in affiliate marketing might have provided you with a simple marketing package like banner or text ads and your affiliate sales page link. The only thing you really need to do now is to use these great tools and drive traffic to your affiliate sales page.

This is the strategy almost all affiliate marketers follow, but there is a problem here. Though this is a good strategy, in order for you to make a decent amount of money, you will need to have thousands of people visiting your affiliate sales page before even one product/service is sold. That being the case, you can imagine how hard it can be to actually make a $10 commission. Even if you succeed in doing so, the amount of time and effort you would have spent in earning those $10 would be huge!

Not just this, there is another problem with earning these commissions too. If you look at the terms and conditions of your affiliate marketing program, maybe they don’t pay commissions till you have earned at least $30. That means another thousand or more visitors and then, you might just have a chance at looking at those $30.

But here is something you need to consider without getting discouraged. Internet marketing is an excellent way for you to make extra cash on the side, and it honestly does not need much of an investment.

Four Step Affiliate Marketing Process:

Instead of advertising your affiliate program directly, make use of this four step process.

1. Providing value-add: Before getting down to advertising, provide something valuable to your potential customers. The simplest ‘valuable’ thing that you can provide without much effort is free information. You can provide this free information in the form of a series of email courses, eBooks and so on.

2. Give when you get: Don’t give away your free information till you get the email addresses of your potential customers. It is vital to know the name and email address of all the prospective clients, so that you can move on to the other two steps in the affiliate marketing process.

3. Earn trust: The next step in this four step process is to earn the trust of people, due to the valuable information that you have provided.

Just as you would closely monitor information provided by someone who gives you good advice on managing money, time or effort; others will start trusting you, provided your information is trustworthy. Since you have the name and email addresses of the potential customers, you can send them occasional emails with valuable information. Remember, don’t spam their mailbox. Else, they may block you and you will lose sales.

4. The actual sale: If you have been providing the potential customers valuable information regularly, they will trust you enough to buy a product/service you recommend. The sale is easier, if you can somehow make them realize that what you are recommending is worth the amount they will be spending.

In affiliate marketing, try to sell products and services that have helped you personally. This way, it becomes easier for people to trust you and you can share your experiences with them too!

Make money with RSS feeds

Saturday 6 March 2010 @ 7:14 pm

By Melvin Perry Enzine

RSS feeds have been the talk of the Internet community for the past ten years. Many web editors and online marketers are using this application to rapidly syndicate news around the world. RSS feeds not only allows you to quickly browse through current news on the internet, but it can also give you enough flexibility in reading what you want online in a short period of time. As a result of this unique application, many web entrepreneurs are discovering ways to make money with rss feeds and content.

Before you can ever get started with knowing how to make money with RSS feeds, you have to first know what RSS is. The term RSS means “really simple syndication”. In simpler terms, you can describe an RSS document or “feed” as a snippet or snapshot of content on a particular web page or blog. This content is then syndicated throughout the World Wide Web as an RSS and visitors can subscribe to these feeds and place it as a bookmark on their personal pages. This is a good way for subscribers to know if there is fresh content on some of their favorite sites. However, some marketers use this application to generate changing content on their pages to make money with rss feeds as an affiliate marketer.

The most effective way to make money with rss feeds is by creating a blog. Any blog service you use should already be set up with a working RSS feed application. If you currently maintain a blog of your own, you can utilize the power of blogs to create and syndicate content across the internet for the sole purpose making profits. Many web marketers do this is by writing frequent blog post about various affiliate products or services of their own. The next step is to submit your blog to an RSS feed submitter site or directory to increase the chances that people subscribe to your RSS feed. Making money with rss feeds can be easily done when using blogs.

There is another method some internet marketers use to make money with rss feeds. Some individuals use rss feeds to convert their website pages from being dynamic to becoming static pages. Static pages are the web pages that are frequently updated with new and fresh content. Search engines, like Google and Yahoo, love to spider these changing sites and rank them well in the search engines. Blogs are an example of static pages. However, some marketers add rss feeds to dynamic pages to trick the search engines into thinking the particular site is being constantly updated with fresh content but in actually, it is borrowed content. On these sites, in particular, the owner uses adsense ads or affiliate links to make money with rss feeds.

Get Your Website to the Top of the Search Engines with RSS feed

Get Your Website  to the Top of the Search Engines with RSS feed

By Carolyn Anderson

Maintaining a website, a blog, or an online journal means you want people to visit your website or people to read your writings. Getting online visitors is one of the important requirements also to make money out of your website or blog.

One thing that you can do to make your website visible to as many online readers as possible is to add RSS feed to your website. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and this allows you to get updates such as news stories and flash it on your website.

Once you get your feeds on your website, you also get updates every now and then, and this allows the search engines to index your site as an updated one and thus will get you good rankings. Of course, high ranking in the search engines means your site is visible to most readers and you have greater opportunities to make big money with your website.

In short, getting the feed will help your website get ranked high on the search engines although you don’t update your website everyday. It is also a great way to get updated with your favorite website without having to go individually visit those sites.

On the other hand, you can also allow your online readers to get feeds of your website. This way, they will get updates every time you have new content submitted. This means you can also maintain a good number of readers or followers, which is important in maintaining traffic to your site.

To add RSS feed to your website, here are a few tips you can follow.

If you have a blog or an online journal, you can make use of the automatically generated feed (RSS) from the blog platforms. Blogger is one platform you can use which also automatically generates feeds. You can also create a Wordpress blog that also generates an feed instantly.

You can write it manually, but of course, it involves codes that is not friendly for manual writing. If you have a website that is neither of the two, you can also add RSS feed to your website with the help of a software to make it easier for you.

Another way to add feedS to your website is by way of javascript. In this method, you can cut and paste the javascript code into the part of the website that you want the RSS feed to appear. You can actually find some sites online that will make your javascript code which you will cut and paste into your site.

However, it is important to keep in mind that javascript cannot be seen by the search engine spiders, thus will not acknowledge new updates that has been posted in your feed. This forfeits the purpose of having these feeds to increase your search engine rankings, thus if you are after the rankings, you might want to find other ways to add RSS feed to your website with the ultimate purpose of increasing your search engine rankings.

Carolyn Anderson has been into blogging for years now and has been earning money out of it. If you want to add RSS feed to improve your rankings, check out this RSS Feeds Submit. How to make money with Google adsense

How to make Money with GOOGLE ADSENSE

If you have a website or a blog, you should definitely sign up for Google Adsense. It’s one of the few programs you can truly ‘set and forget’ – once it’s there you don’t really need to do much else with it except making money and making it fast.

But there are ways and means to maximize your income from Google Adsense and make easy cash, and as you get to know more about it you can start to generate a decent income from it that will keep rolling in month after month. It’s a true passive income, which is why so many people are using it.

Most people have heard of Google Adsense, but not everyone understands exactly how to use it to its best advantage. So we’ll start with how to use it in its most basic sense and then progress to the more advanced benefits you can get from the program.

Basically if you have a website or blog you can sign up for a free account at Google Adsense and start putting contextual ads on your website. What do I mean by contextual? It means quite simply that the ads which appear on your site will be relevant to your content. So let’s say for example that your website is about tropical fish. The Google ads will then be related to tropical fish in some way. And because of the information that you give to Google, they will also display adverts that are relevant to your area. So if you are based in the UK the ads that appear will be relevant to UK buyers; if your site or business is based in Australia the ads will appeal to Australian buyers.

All of this is carefully worked out for you in order to attract the maximum click through possible for your website and your ads. Every time someone clicks on an ad you will get a few cents into your Adsense account, so it makes sense that the more attractive and relevant your ads are to your visitors, the more money you will make and the quick cash will begin.

Let’s have a look at the appearance of your ads now, since this can affect the amount of click throughs you get. You can choose the color and borders of your ads to fit right in with the color scheme on your site if you wish, but it’s worth experimenting with having no borders at all around your adverts since this makes them blend in with your content more seamlessly and may encourage more click throughs in a subtle but effective manner.

However well you integrate Google Adsense into your current blog or website though, there is obviously a limit to the amount of money you can make from one site. If you get thousands of people visiting your site every day then you can expect to get a good income from it but many people don’t get this number of visitors and that’s where you need a separate strategy to try and up your numbers.

In this case you can go to the advanced level of Adsense income and think about starting several sites, all based around a different yet popular subject. You should think of these essentially as being content sites, since they are often chock full of articles and useful content which is carefully keyworded to attract plenty of search engine traffic on that particular subject. The Adsense ads are then placed in the optimum positions to achieve the best click through (the Adsense pages will give you ideas on where to position them but it’s worth experimenting to see what works best for you), and the site goes live for people to find and read through.

You can also insert affiliate links for products into these sites in order to gain even more income if you wish, but they are often known as Adsense sites simply because they are set up to attract visitors and click throughs on a specific subject.

Some people end up with dozens of sites like this, and the beauty of them is that once they are built and you have bought your domain name and hosting plan you don’t really need to do too much with them except for promote them. Updating them fairly regularly is good if you want to get to a higher position in the search engine results though, which will gain you more visitors as a result.

You can also keep your site updated more regularly (and encourage repeat visitors) by inserting RSS feeds of news stories related to the subject of your website. Anything that will get people returning to read more – and possibly click on more ads as a result – is worth a try.

One final note here – choose the subjects of your Google Adsense sites wisely. It’s tempting to go for whatever is in the news at the moment, but once the stories die down so will your traffic. You want something that people will always want to know about – saving money, getting a better job, earning more, and various other more personal subjects such as skin care and successful dating for example. There are plenty of options to choose from; you just need to get your thinking cap on to find them.

In short the best place to start making money from Google Adsense is to integrate it into your existing website or blog. As you gain experience and discover the best ways to use it you can start thinking about adding extra sites into the mix. You might end up being an Adsense guru and raking in plenty of money for very little work indeed. That’s the best thing about it – the ‘set and forget’ benefit that keeps on working even when you’re not.

If you enjoyed this article or have any questions or comments about it, please leave them by using the form below. Once you’ve done that it will be time to visit Google’s Adsense site to get started! Good luck.

How To Make Easy Money Online

Sure, you can make easy money online. It’s possible, and it’s not rocket science. I’ve put this page up to show you the best ways to make easy money online.

If you’re anything like me, you get emails every day telling you that you can make millions online. This page does not contain lies like that. If you want millions for no work then go buy some lottery tickets.

Remember: there’s no such thing as Get Rich Quick. But you can make easy money online!

This free course walks you through what you need to know about making an income online, quickly, easily and cheaply!

It got me started, don’t you want to earn extra money too?

Don’t leave without getting the course. Earning online is work, but it also works when you follow the Affiliate Masters Course. And, you can do it for a lot less than you think!

Maybe you’ve built your new computer, and you’d like to make easy money online with it? You certainly can!

You can make good money online with a web site like this one. For example it’s realistic that you could make at least $150 per week per site. This may not seem like a lot but once you’ve built one site it can make you money while you build another.

Your second site will be much more profitable so it’s possible to make some decent extra cash or even a living from informational web sites like the one you’re reading now.

I have enjoyed every part of building this web site and the money I make from this site is a bonus.

Make easy money online with affiliate programs

You can get started making money online right now by building a web site. Many online stores would love to pay you a commission for sending new customers their way.

All you have to do is join an affiliate program and put up special affiliate links from your site to the merchant who sells the products. Then when a visitor clicks from your site to their site and buys something you get a commission (usually between 5% and 10%) of the value of the products they buy.

It’s a good idea to link to an online store that sells products that suit the topic of your site. So if your site is all about golf then you should have links to an online store that sells golfing stuff.

People who are reading your site won’t mind seeing links and product recommendations because they are genuinely interested in golf and probably buy golf stuff all the time. I built a few sites like this and they work.

If you want to make money online fast then check out this page, I’ve found a product that truly is the fast track to making money online. Since you’re here it’s worth your time reading about it.

You need to build a web site that gets visitors to make money this way

Yes, you do need a good web site to get visitors.

A good web site is one that contains interesting information that people want to read, like this site for example :)

You get visitors for free by ranking high in search engines such as Google. Things can get complicated optimizing your site to be found in the search engines but remember – search engines WANT to find informative web sites so if your site has good content then you’re most of the way there.

Writing good content is fun

Write a site about things you’re interested in, your hobbies etc. If you are into home theatre then it is easy to write a page on which big screen TV you would most like to buy. To make money you simply include links to products that you like and if someone agrees with you and buys you get hundreds of dollars in commission.

The wrong way to go

Silly marketing people spend lots of time trying to fool the search engines into ranking their crappy sites highly. If you have an informative site you will always win in the long run and get lots of interested visitors to your site. Visitors that actually read your pages, email you with positive comments and browse and buy at your affiliate merchants web site.

Make money with Youtube

How to make money with Youtube

YouTube is one of those websites that really has taken the internet by storm. So long as you have the right equipment to shoot a home movie (and it isn’t too hard to come by without shelling out loads of cash nowadays) you stand a chance of developing an existing business or starting a new one, purely by signing up to YouTube and putting those movies online.

But that doesn’t explain what kind of videos you should be making. Well relax, because that is what you are about to find out. There is one very good way to make money using this website, you are about to find out what it is.

Let’s start by looking at YouTube as a way to bring in more business for your existing venture. If you can shoot short videos related to your business (making sure you include the URL to your website on the video itself) you can expect to receive more traffic to your website and hopefully more customers as a result.

Let’s say for example you run a website which sells all kinds of craft items. So you might make a video showing people how to make their own home made cards. They would then check out your website to see what you sell. This process can be duplicated no matter what kind of business you have.

The key is to think visually. It’s no good simply sitting in front of a camera telling people about something – you need to show them as well. Always remember this when you are thinking of ideas for videos – you will get a better response to them if you do.

In this sense you aren’t making money directly from YouTube; rather, you are using it as a way to make money elsewhere. It is a great tool for attracting attention and funneling people off the site. You cannot actually tout for business directly on the site anyway, so you are better off focusing on how you can get the attention of people whom you could sell to. Once you figure out how to do that, they will be more than happy to check out your website to see what you offer.

But what if you don’t already have a business to promote? Well, there are a number of people who have been successful in promoting affiliate opportunities on the site – again by inserting the relevant web address on the video itself (if you go on YouTube you will see this appearing time and time again as a kind of watermark effect) and either posting a video that is free for anyone to use and post, or by making their own. Again, so long as you post something that is relevant to what you are selling you should get a decent amount of traffic flowing to your website.

It might take a short while to get used to how uploading videos to YouTube works (particularly if you haven’t done it before) but once you have done a couple you will get the hang of it. More importantly you will have found another stream of income to add to your internet marketing arsenal of ideas!

One final point – be original. You can choose copyright free videos, but if you can make a fairly decent one yourself, why not try and attract more attention with that?

Make Money Online With Five Types Of Affiliate Marketing

Pay Per Click (PPC) – Google Adsense

With PPC marketing the merchant pays affiliates whenever a visitor clicks on a merchant’s banner or text ad. The affiliate gets paid for every click even if the visitor he referred does not purchase anything from the merchant’s site.

Pay per click marketing is most closely associated with Google Adsense. Google Adsense is THE biggest money makers on my pure content sites. Adsense is a truly great way to make money with content sites and blogs.

The advantages of PPC systems like Adsense are:

1. Very easy to add to your site.
2. You don’t have to sell anything to make money with PPC.
3. You don’t have to choose programs to promote, the PPC system does that for you.

These advantages make PPC systems like Adsense very appealing to small websites and beginners. I, and many others that I know, have made a lot of money with Adsense.

Pay Per Sale (PPS)

PPS affiliate marketing is the most popular type used by merchants. In this type of affiliate program, the merchant only pays the affiliate whenever his referral buys a product. Affiliates are often paid on a commission basis (percentage of the sale), although some merchants pay a fixed fee. Commissions in PPS affiliate marketing can range from 1% to 100% of the sales.

Pay Per Lead (PPL)

Pay-per-lead (sometimes called Pay Per Action) is a type of affiliate marketing that is often used by insurance companies and other companies who rely on leads for their profits. The Death of Adsense ebook was a good example of Pay Per Lead in the Internet marketing industry. In this type of affiliate marketing, the affiliate is paid whenever the visitor he/she referred to the merchant’s site fills in an application form or takes an action that the merchant wants them to take. For example, a car insurance affiliate program will often want a person’s zip code to help find the best car insurance for them. Compensation for this type of affiliate marketing is a fixed fee and is often very lucrative for affiliates. In fact, one of my friends and mentors makes a nice income from pay per lead affiliate marketing.

In addition to the above types of affiliate marketing, there are other affiliate marketing types that enhance the earnings an affiliate can make.

Multi-Tier Affiliate Marketing

Some affiliate programs offer multiple tiers or levels that the affiliate can make money from. Single-tier affiliate marketing is the much more common than multi-tier, but multi-tier affiliate programs can be much more profitable. In a single-tier affiliate marketing program, the affiliates are paid based on the direct sales or traffic referred to the merchant.

In two-tier affiliate marketing programs, the affiliate is paid for for both the direct traffic or sales that he refers to the merchant’s site, AND all the clicks (PPC) or sales (PPS) or leads (PPL) referred by various other affiliates who joined the affiliate program through his affiliate link. Multi-tier affiliate marketing (3-tier, 4-tier, 5 tier, etc.) creates additional commission for the affiliates from the different tiers in the affiliate network. A good example of a multi-tier affiliate program is SiteSell which has 5 tiers.

Residual Income Affiliate Marketing

In residual income affiliate marketing, the affiliate gets paid whenever the customer he/she has referred returns to the site and purchase another product or renews a membership, etc. Compensation for such type of affiliate marketing is usually based on a sales percentage or a fixed fee. Residual income affiliate marketing is most commonly used by membership sites. I personally love getting paid every month from affiliate programs that offer residual income and look for opportunities to join affiliate programs that offer residual income in the areas I promote.

This is a basic summary of these five types of affiliate marketing. The important thing, as with all other kinds of marketing, is to find what works for you and your business. Experiment with different programs and different types of affiliate marketing and find out what works best for you and your visitors. As with everything else in making money online, it’s all about the numbers. If a particular method isn’t making money for you, by all means try something else.

Make money from website

Thursday 4 March 2010 @ 7:22 pm

How to make money from your website

This is the fun part — actually making money online with your website. There are tons of ways to do this, so feel free to mix and match the following concepts, or come up with one of your own.

Note that you’ll need to experiment with your monetization. A website that might only make $10 a day from adsense could make $1000 from affiliate programs. Choose your method of making money wisely.

Advertising Programs

Advertising programs are the most popular way to make an income with a website — almost every website has them. There are plenty of companies that give you a special code to put on your website. This code then looks like a block of advertisements when visitors see it.

There are basically direct types of online advertisements — CPC, CPM and direct ads.

“CPC” stands for “Cost Per Click”, which means you’ll make money only when someone clicks on your ad. You can make anywhere between 10 cents and 10 dollars per click.

“CPM” stands for “Cost Per Thousand”, which means you’ll get paid when people see the ads — just a very, very small amount. You might get paid $1-2 per thousand times someone sees the ads.

A direct ad is when you are paid directly for the ad to be listed on your website. This amount isn’t dependent on how much traffic will see their ad or how many clicks they get — they’re making a decision to trust that your website will make their ad worth while.

CPC Advertising Programs

  • AdSense.com
  • AdBright.com
  • Chitika.com

CPM Advertising Programs

  • BannerConnect.net
  • RightMedia.com
  • Revenue.net

Direct Advertising Programs

  • PerformancingAds.com
  • OIOPublisher.com

These are just the start. There are hundreds of advertising programs to be found online. Do some digging and you can find more.

Sell Products

A website is basically a storefront — you can sell products. You can sell anything from birdhouses to pet food to wholesale watches — if it exists, you can sell it.

Even if you don’t own your own product, you can sell a product for another person or company. That’s called “affiliate marketing”, and you can read about it below.

Affiliate Programs

Affiliate marketing is where you become a sort-of online salesperson for a company or person. You get a special link that only you have — anyone who buys/signs up through your link will be registered in the main database. The computer will track how many sales you make, and you’ll get a comission.

For example, at my financial website, I’m a salesperson for banks and “sell” savings accounts. If someone signs up for a savings account through my site, I’ll make about $25. That’s how affiliate programs work.

ClickBank.com
CJ.com
Amazon.com

Last Thoughts

There are tons of more ways to make money online. You can sell a service (consulting, reviews, advice, graphic design, freelance writing, etc), sell links (risky) and dozens of other things.

Personally, I use a mixture of affiliate programs and advertising programs. I find they go together well.

Make Money by Affiliate Marketing

How would you like to earn a little extra cash each month? Or even replace your income, working less to make more money… Think its a pipe dream? well, think again.

Most people know that there are millions of dollars being spent every single day purchasing products and services online. But did you know that you could be earning a % on every sale made by simply referring and recommending the products that you like to people.

It’s one of the best ways to get started making money online – you don’t need a website, you don’t need a blog, you don’t even need any cash to get started, although these things can help, you can certainly start without them. By helping consumers research and choose products they already want to buy, which could be as simple as writing a 500 word article (just like this one) you could be earning a nice little second income.

Or if you want to take it a little more seriously, you can earn a full income, even more than most “real world” jobs pay.

I personally make a full time living through affiliate marketing, and have been doing it now for about 5 years. Working from home, choosing the hours to suit my lifestyle, and making a lot more than I ever made working 60 hours a week in a job I hated.

But if you really want to achieve some success with affiliate marketing you need a plan that will get you the level of income you want. A lot of people I speak too love the “Idea” of making money online, they usually ask me a million questions, and tell me how serious they are, how they are going to go home and get stuck into it, read all the stuff I recommend and get started asap.

But then most of them never actually follow through on any of it. Then 6 months later I will see them again, some will avoid the topic completely, while others tell me again how serious they are, and they are really going to do it “this time”.

It’s pretty ammusing for me, watching people make up excuses as to why they havnt done anything.

Personally I don’t really care if they do it or not, it doesn’t effect me at all. Although it would be nice to have more friends who arent working all week to play golf with and take the boat out. But other than that, it makes no difference to me.

I don’t really understand it though, I believe its the perfect business, think about it, you can make as much money as you like, your income is a direct result of the amount of effort you put in. You can work whatever hours you like. (Which is very few when you have been doing it for a few years) Plus you can do it from anywhere you can plug in a laptop. So if you like to Holiday or travel around the world, its the perfect business.

But how do you get involved?

The best place to start is by going to a website that houses a wide range of affiliate products. This keeps everything together in one easy to access place and gives you plenty to explore. You can also get an idea of which particular areas you would like to concentrate on. The worst thing you can do in affiliate marketing is to use the scattergun approach.

This is when you try and promote a wide range of products that aren’t connected with each other, all from a single website. In essence it isn’t aimed at anyone – and you’ll make fewer sales as a result.

Instead, do some research and come up with a specific group of people that you can find a wide range of products for. Or find a particular problem that people are searching online for solutions too, and direct them to the solution. Not only do you stand a much better chance of making a sale, But people will actually thank you for helping them find a solution, and be more than happy that you got paid to help them.

But if you don’t have a website, how can you promote your products?

There are several ways of doing this. One of the best is to use article directories like EzineArticles.com or Web 2.0 sites like Squidoo.com, which allow you to build web pages for free on pretty much any subject you like. Once these get indexed by Google and you do a little promotion for them, then you’ll start getting a steady stream of traffic – if you’ve picked the right topics and search terms to target.

At the beginning I mentioned the need to have a plan to reach the level of income you want. Not many affiliates actually do this and it’s one of the main reasons why more people aren’t making a lot of money with affiliate marketing. It’s certainly not because the potential isn’t there – it’s because they don’t plan to take advantage of it in the right way.

You should always look at how much you will get by way of commission for each product. Obviously the less the commission, the more units you will need to sell to achieve your desired income. You’ll achieve this through a balance of products obviously, but it’s worth bearing in mind.

You also need to think about the type of people you are marketing to. What kind of income do they bring in? How much are they likely to want to spend on the products you’ll be offering? If you don’t match these two aspects up properly you will struggle to make any real sales.

It’s also helpful to set short, medium and long term goals to help keep things in perspective. A short term goal might be to sell five products a week continually, for example. A long term goal could be to make $100,000 a year from affiliate marketing. Goals will help you to decide where you want to go with your fledgling affiliate marketing business.

Another important point to be aware of is that it’s wise to protect your income wherever you can. What I mean by this is that affiliate links can be rather obvious at times, and some people will actually delete your link and go into the site and buy something while denying you the commission.

The easy way to prevent this is to simply buy a domain for each product you are going to promote, and redirect it to the affiliate offer.  There are plenty of free tools that do this for you online, and it’s really the safest way to protect your interests. It also changes a long ugly link into a nice short one – much nicer for the article directories!

Affiliate marketing is like any other business, once you start generating some income, then you can start to invest some of that money back into your business to ensure you enjoy ongoing growth.

In short, start slowly and keep those visions of a huge income in perspective to begin with. You’ll soon get to know your way around the business and with each new experience you can build your knowledge and earn even more in the months and years to come.

When I was first starting out, I learnt the basics by purchasing a few books and e-books on the topic, but mostly it was left to trial and error. I had to make a lot of mistakes in order to find a few good ideas that worked and made money.

Fortunately these days there are some really good resources available for people looking to learn this business. So if you’re serious about becoming an affiliate marketer, check out some of the resources on this page.

The most important thing to do though, is to just get started, do something right now, then follow it up tomorrow with something else… Try and do something every day towards your goal, don’t put it off for a single day, and before you know it, you will have a nice steady stream of profits coming in.

Too many of the people I talk to, put things off until they have more time, but then they forget, and never end up getting started at all. So commit to yourself, take some action and get started today.

How to make money with your own search engine

It might seem hard to believe that anyone could rival Google with a new search engine. But it could happen if the idea for custom built search engines comes to fruition.

If the idea of building your own search engine appeals to you, remember that the trick is not to try and compete directly with Google itself. Instead of doing that you should take a difference stance altogether – and in fact it is this stance that many people think is going to become the new search engine for the future.

Sounds intriguing? To find out exactly what kind of search engine we’re talking about, click to read more.

The internet is a huge place, almost beyond comprehension, and it’s getting bigger every single day. That makes it incredibly hard to find anything. Unless you happen to know the URL of a site you want to visit, the chances of finding it in the search engines is getting more remote by the day.

While the whole process of search engine optimization allows every website to have a chance of getting onto page one of Google, where it stands the best chance of being discovered by the people who want to find it, there is one thing that it really doesn’t account for – and that’s accuracy.

The truth is that you could create a website that is factually inaccurate and it could still rank very highly in the search engines – so long as it was optimized to do so. Furthermore even the major search engines are becoming more and more unwieldy as time goes by and even more new websites are launched. It’s not uncommon to search for a particular type of website and get hundreds of thousands (or even millions) of results coming back at you.

This means that there is clearly a gap for a new type of search engine. Imagine a whole network of them, with each one concentrating on a different subject. So for example let’s say you wanted to find a website which contains medical information. Instead of going to Google or another large search engine, you would go to a medical search engine which only lists that type of website. Similarly if you wanted to find information on investments, you would go to a search engine that only contained websites which dealt with that subject.

This is an idea which is only just starting to be suggested, but many experts think that this could be a glimpse of what it will be like in the future. So why not be a trailblazer and pick a popular subject that gets a lot of searches every day to build a new search engine around?

When it comes to creating the actual engine there are a few tutorials online that reveal how to do it. Do a search (on a search engine!) to find them, and start to map out your ideas for your particular search engine. Don’t forget that this will be a more targeted engine than anything else that is out there at the moment, so bear that in mind when it comes to choosing a domain name for it. After all, you want your search engine to rank highly in the results in the general search engines, to ensure you get found and people start using you.

You will also need to be able to crawl the relevant websites that are out there on the web today, so you can include them in your own results. Of course it will take some time to build a well established custom search engine, but the fact that you are taking on this kind of focused project in the first place should earn you some free publicity. Make sure you write some press releases as well, to get the right people interested. It’s also worth getting in touch with websites that could be placed in the results, to help spread the word.
