Get Your Website  to the Top of the Search Engines with RSS feed

By Carolyn Anderson

Maintaining a website, a blog, or an online journal means you want people to visit your website or people to read your writings. Getting online visitors is one of the important requirements also to make money out of your website or blog.

One thing that you can do to make your website visible to as many online readers as possible is to add RSS feed to your website. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and this allows you to get updates such as news stories and flash it on your website.

Once you get your feeds on your website, you also get updates every now and then, and this allows the search engines to index your site as an updated one and thus will get you good rankings. Of course, high ranking in the search engines means your site is visible to most readers and you have greater opportunities to make big money with your website.

In short, getting the feed will help your website get ranked high on the search engines although you don’t update your website everyday. It is also a great way to get updated with your favorite website without having to go individually visit those sites.

On the other hand, you can also allow your online readers to get feeds of your website. This way, they will get updates every time you have new content submitted. This means you can also maintain a good number of readers or followers, which is important in maintaining traffic to your site.

To add RSS feed to your website, here are a few tips you can follow.

If you have a blog or an online journal, you can make use of the automatically generated feed (RSS) from the blog platforms. Blogger is one platform you can use which also automatically generates feeds. You can also create a Wordpress blog that also generates an feed instantly.

You can write it manually, but of course, it involves codes that is not friendly for manual writing. If you have a website that is neither of the two, you can also add RSS feed to your website with the help of a software to make it easier for you.

Another way to add feedS to your website is by way of javascript. In this method, you can cut and paste the javascript code into the part of the website that you want the RSS feed to appear. You can actually find some sites online that will make your javascript code which you will cut and paste into your site.

However, it is important to keep in mind that javascript cannot be seen by the search engine spiders, thus will not acknowledge new updates that has been posted in your feed. This forfeits the purpose of having these feeds to increase your search engine rankings, thus if you are after the rankings, you might want to find other ways to add RSS feed to your website with the ultimate purpose of increasing your search engine rankings.

Carolyn Anderson has been into blogging for years now and has been earning money out of it. If you want to add RSS feed to improve your rankings, check out this RSS Feeds Submit. Make money with sweeptstakes

Enter sweepstakes.

By choosing sweepstakes carefully, you can increase your likelihood of hitting the jackpot (or at least getting a few useful freebies that you can sell, as mentioned above). Search the internet– there are even internet databases, some free and some by subscription only, that can clue you in to hundreds or thousands of sweepstakes. Sweepstakes with smaller prizes can be great because you generally have a more realistic chance of winning. Don’t, however, waste your time entering a sweepstakes for a prize you don’t want and can’t easily sell for a good profit. Enter as many times as possible. The more times you enter, the better your odds. It’s as simple as that. Before you send in a million entries, however, make sure you know how many entries the rules allow you.

Make Money Online With Five Types Of Affiliate Marketing

Pay Per Click (PPC) – Google Adsense

With PPC marketing the merchant pays affiliates whenever a visitor clicks on a merchant’s banner or text ad. The affiliate gets paid for every click even if the visitor he referred does not purchase anything from the merchant’s site.

Pay per click marketing is most closely associated with Google Adsense. Google Adsense is THE biggest money makers on my pure content sites. Adsense is a truly great way to make money with content sites and blogs.

The advantages of PPC systems like Adsense are:

1. Very easy to add to your site.
2. You don’t have to sell anything to make money with PPC.
3. You don’t have to choose programs to promote, the PPC system does that for you.

These advantages make PPC systems like Adsense very appealing to small websites and beginners. I, and many others that I know, have made a lot of money with Adsense.

Pay Per Sale (PPS)

PPS affiliate marketing is the most popular type used by merchants. In this type of affiliate program, the merchant only pays the affiliate whenever his referral buys a product. Affiliates are often paid on a commission basis (percentage of the sale), although some merchants pay a fixed fee. Commissions in PPS affiliate marketing can range from 1% to 100% of the sales.

Pay Per Lead (PPL)

Pay-per-lead (sometimes called Pay Per Action) is a type of affiliate marketing that is often used by insurance companies and other companies who rely on leads for their profits. The Death of Adsense ebook was a good example of Pay Per Lead in the Internet marketing industry. In this type of affiliate marketing, the affiliate is paid whenever the visitor he/she referred to the merchant’s site fills in an application form or takes an action that the merchant wants them to take. For example, a car insurance affiliate program will often want a person’s zip code to help find the best car insurance for them. Compensation for this type of affiliate marketing is a fixed fee and is often very lucrative for affiliates. In fact, one of my friends and mentors makes a nice income from pay per lead affiliate marketing.

In addition to the above types of affiliate marketing, there are other affiliate marketing types that enhance the earnings an affiliate can make.

Multi-Tier Affiliate Marketing

Some affiliate programs offer multiple tiers or levels that the affiliate can make money from. Single-tier affiliate marketing is the much more common than multi-tier, but multi-tier affiliate programs can be much more profitable. In a single-tier affiliate marketing program, the affiliates are paid based on the direct sales or traffic referred to the merchant.

In two-tier affiliate marketing programs, the affiliate is paid for for both the direct traffic or sales that he refers to the merchant’s site, AND all the clicks (PPC) or sales (PPS) or leads (PPL) referred by various other affiliates who joined the affiliate program through his affiliate link. Multi-tier affiliate marketing (3-tier, 4-tier, 5 tier, etc.) creates additional commission for the affiliates from the different tiers in the affiliate network. A good example of a multi-tier affiliate program is SiteSell which has 5 tiers.

Residual Income Affiliate Marketing

In residual income affiliate marketing, the affiliate gets paid whenever the customer he/she has referred returns to the site and purchase another product or renews a membership, etc. Compensation for such type of affiliate marketing is usually based on a sales percentage or a fixed fee. Residual income affiliate marketing is most commonly used by membership sites. I personally love getting paid every month from affiliate programs that offer residual income and look for opportunities to join affiliate programs that offer residual income in the areas I promote.

This is a basic summary of these five types of affiliate marketing. The important thing, as with all other kinds of marketing, is to find what works for you and your business. Experiment with different programs and different types of affiliate marketing and find out what works best for you and your visitors. As with everything else in making money online, it’s all about the numbers. If a particular method isn’t making money for you, by all means try something else.

Make money from website

How to make money from your website

This is the fun part — actually making money online with your website. There are tons of ways to do this, so feel free to mix and match the following concepts, or come up with one of your own.

Note that you’ll need to experiment with your monetization. A website that might only make $10 a day from adsense could make $1000 from affiliate programs. Choose your method of making money wisely.

Advertising Programs

Advertising programs are the most popular way to make an income with a website — almost every website has them. There are plenty of companies that give you a special code to put on your website. This code then looks like a block of advertisements when visitors see it.

There are basically direct types of online advertisements — CPC, CPM and direct ads.

“CPC” stands for “Cost Per Click”, which means you’ll make money only when someone clicks on your ad. You can make anywhere between 10 cents and 10 dollars per click.

“CPM” stands for “Cost Per Thousand”, which means you’ll get paid when people see the ads — just a very, very small amount. You might get paid $1-2 per thousand times someone sees the ads.

A direct ad is when you are paid directly for the ad to be listed on your website. This amount isn’t dependent on how much traffic will see their ad or how many clicks they get — they’re making a decision to trust that your website will make their ad worth while.

CPC Advertising Programs

  • AdSense.com
  • AdBright.com
  • Chitika.com

CPM Advertising Programs

  • BannerConnect.net
  • RightMedia.com
  • Revenue.net

Direct Advertising Programs

  • PerformancingAds.com
  • OIOPublisher.com

These are just the start. There are hundreds of advertising programs to be found online. Do some digging and you can find more.

Sell Products

A website is basically a storefront — you can sell products. You can sell anything from birdhouses to pet food to wholesale watches — if it exists, you can sell it.

Even if you don’t own your own product, you can sell a product for another person or company. That’s called “affiliate marketing”, and you can read about it below.

Affiliate Programs

Affiliate marketing is where you become a sort-of online salesperson for a company or person. You get a special link that only you have — anyone who buys/signs up through your link will be registered in the main database. The computer will track how many sales you make, and you’ll get a comission.

For example, at my financial website, I’m a salesperson for banks and “sell” savings accounts. If someone signs up for a savings account through my site, I’ll make about $25. That’s how affiliate programs work.

ClickBank.com
CJ.com
Amazon.com

Last Thoughts

There are tons of more ways to make money online. You can sell a service (consulting, reviews, advice, graphic design, freelance writing, etc), sell links (risky) and dozens of other things.

Personally, I use a mixture of affiliate programs and advertising programs. I find they go together well.

Make money with affiliates marketing

Make Money by Affiliate Marketing

How would you like to earn a little extra cash each month? Or even replace your income, working less to make more money… Think its a pipe dream? well, think again.

Most people know that there are millions of dollars being spent every single day purchasing products and services online. But did you know that you could be earning a % on every sale made by simply referring and recommending the products that you like to people.

It’s one of the best ways to get started making money online – you don’t need a website, you don’t need a blog, you don’t even need any cash to get started, although these things can help, you can certainly start without them. By helping consumers research and choose products they already want to buy, which could be as simple as writing a 500 word article (just like this one) you could be earning a nice little second income.

Or if you want to take it a little more seriously, you can earn a full income, even more than most “real world” jobs pay.

I personally make a full time living through affiliate marketing, and have been doing it now for about 5 years. Working from home, choosing the hours to suit my lifestyle, and making a lot more than I ever made working 60 hours a week in a job I hated.

But if you really want to achieve some success with affiliate marketing you need a plan that will get you the level of income you want. A lot of people I speak too love the “Idea” of making money online, they usually ask me a million questions, and tell me how serious they are, how they are going to go home and get stuck into it, read all the stuff I recommend and get started asap.

But then most of them never actually follow through on any of it. Then 6 months later I will see them again, some will avoid the topic completely, while others tell me again how serious they are, and they are really going to do it “this time”.

It’s pretty ammusing for me, watching people make up excuses as to why they havnt done anything.

Personally I don’t really care if they do it or not, it doesn’t effect me at all. Although it would be nice to have more friends who arent working all week to play golf with and take the boat out. But other than that, it makes no difference to me.

I don’t really understand it though, I believe its the perfect business, think about it, you can make as much money as you like, your income is a direct result of the amount of effort you put in. You can work whatever hours you like. (Which is very few when you have been doing it for a few years) Plus you can do it from anywhere you can plug in a laptop. So if you like to Holiday or travel around the world, its the perfect business.

But how do you get involved?

The best place to start is by going to a website that houses a wide range of affiliate products. This keeps everything together in one easy to access place and gives you plenty to explore. You can also get an idea of which particular areas you would like to concentrate on. The worst thing you can do in affiliate marketing is to use the scattergun approach.

This is when you try and promote a wide range of products that aren’t connected with each other, all from a single website. In essence it isn’t aimed at anyone – and you’ll make fewer sales as a result.

Instead, do some research and come up with a specific group of people that you can find a wide range of products for. Or find a particular problem that people are searching online for solutions too, and direct them to the solution. Not only do you stand a much better chance of making a sale, But people will actually thank you for helping them find a solution, and be more than happy that you got paid to help them.

But if you don’t have a website, how can you promote your products?

There are several ways of doing this. One of the best is to use article directories like EzineArticles.com or Web 2.0 sites like Squidoo.com, which allow you to build web pages for free on pretty much any subject you like. Once these get indexed by Google and you do a little promotion for them, then you’ll start getting a steady stream of traffic – if you’ve picked the right topics and search terms to target.

At the beginning I mentioned the need to have a plan to reach the level of income you want. Not many affiliates actually do this and it’s one of the main reasons why more people aren’t making a lot of money with affiliate marketing. It’s certainly not because the potential isn’t there – it’s because they don’t plan to take advantage of it in the right way.

You should always look at how much you will get by way of commission for each product. Obviously the less the commission, the more units you will need to sell to achieve your desired income. You’ll achieve this through a balance of products obviously, but it’s worth bearing in mind.

You also need to think about the type of people you are marketing to. What kind of income do they bring in? How much are they likely to want to spend on the products you’ll be offering? If you don’t match these two aspects up properly you will struggle to make any real sales.

It’s also helpful to set short, medium and long term goals to help keep things in perspective. A short term goal might be to sell five products a week continually, for example. A long term goal could be to make $100,000 a year from affiliate marketing. Goals will help you to decide where you want to go with your fledgling affiliate marketing business.

Another important point to be aware of is that it’s wise to protect your income wherever you can. What I mean by this is that affiliate links can be rather obvious at times, and some people will actually delete your link and go into the site and buy something while denying you the commission.

The easy way to prevent this is to simply buy a domain for each product you are going to promote, and redirect it to the affiliate offer.  There are plenty of free tools that do this for you online, and it’s really the safest way to protect your interests. It also changes a long ugly link into a nice short one – much nicer for the article directories!

Affiliate marketing is like any other business, once you start generating some income, then you can start to invest some of that money back into your business to ensure you enjoy ongoing growth.

In short, start slowly and keep those visions of a huge income in perspective to begin with. You’ll soon get to know your way around the business and with each new experience you can build your knowledge and earn even more in the months and years to come.

When I was first starting out, I learnt the basics by purchasing a few books and e-books on the topic, but mostly it was left to trial and error. I had to make a lot of mistakes in order to find a few good ideas that worked and made money.

Fortunately these days there are some really good resources available for people looking to learn this business. So if you’re serious about becoming an affiliate marketer, check out some of the resources on this page.

The most important thing to do though, is to just get started, do something right now, then follow it up tomorrow with something else… Try and do something every day towards your goal, don’t put it off for a single day, and before you know it, you will have a nice steady stream of profits coming in.

Too many of the people I talk to, put things off until they have more time, but then they forget, and never end up getting started at all. So commit to yourself, take some action and get started today.

Start Blogging right now and make fast money

Working stiffs take heed. Lots of bloggers are finding ways to make money out of  their blogs and generate enough income to work from home. The employment playing field has changed dramatically in the past decade and it is continuing to evolve. Anyone interested in working at home should look into blogging as a viable way to bring in revenue.

Though with the new FTC regulations, you have to disclose any affiliate relationships with what you’re selling, you can still use your blog to work at home. Write reviews of products you endorse and be paid commissions from sites like Amazon.com or even for products you find on ClickBank.

The blog People of Walmart was founded in August of 2009. The blog features photos of people shopping at Walmart. Along with the photos there are sarcastic, critical, usually tasteless and often funny captions… and that’s it. The sit has blown up with over 4 million hits per month. The owners of this blog have reportedly been able to sell advertising on the blog to the tune of almost $50,000 per month in addition they have recently added a web store selling novelties to capitalize even more on their popularity.

The fact is, you never know what is going to catch and if you never do anything you never will. You can dream about working at home or you can make it a reality by actually taking steps to do it. Will you make $50,000 a month from the get go? That is unlikely. Will it take work to monetize your blog? YES. No one makes money online without doing work. But, it is very possible.

You can use a blog to promote affiliates, you can review products or you can set up a Cafe Press store, sell e-books, use your blog to drive people to a squeeze page and build your list. The terrain is to a large degree only limited by your imagination.

The bottom line is this. If you want to work at home and you are not blogging yet. Start today.
